Mechanical team leader
We are looking for a heavy and light truck mechanic team leader for our Hino Montreal branch in Lasalle city.
Monday to Friday, from 6.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Main tasks :
- Supervise the technicians of his shift;
- Analyze new work orders and have all the necessary information to properly carry out the requested work by the customer and/or the warranty
- Make sure to assign the work according to the technician's skills (the right operation to the right guy)
- Ensure the availability of parts and tools
- Provide information (repair time, parts to be replaced) for the repair quotes drafting of by service advisers
- Assist technicians in resolving repair problems
- Notify the service advisers of any repair delays and the cause (b / o parts, additional unforeseen repairs, etc.) as soon as the deadline is known so that the customer can be notified as quickly as possible
- Make recommendations for the purchase or replacement of the tool
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the workshop, (if there is a work accident, have the appropriate documents filled out immediately)
- Perform repairs, inspections, billable diagnostics for the equivalent of 75% of the time worked per week
- Approve the time cards of the technicians of his shift daily
Requirements :
- DEP training in heavy truck mechanics
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy truck mechanics
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Possession of the PEP card (asset)
- Possession of halocarbon cards (asset)
- Possession of a class 1 license (asset)
